Kumu Darcie Pulawa

Born in Honolulu and raised in Pauoa, Papakōlea, and Kalihi Valley, Darcie is deeply rooted in her Hawaiian ancestry through the Pulawa, Isaacs, Keawe, Kahalehili, and Broad ʻohana. A Master Practitioner of NLP, hypnosis, and Mental & Emotional Release Therapy, she also carries training in Reiki, Laʻau Lapaʻau, and Hoʻoponopono.
As founder of the
Pewa Method™, Darcie guides participants in spiritual mending and realignment of the na'au, 'aumakua, ʻuhane, and ʻunihipili. A devoted mother of seven, her mission is to uplift wāhine, families, and communities through clarity, empowerment, and ancestral healing.

Kumu Hi'ilani Shibata

Hiʻilani Shibata is the founder of the Kamahina Project, dedicated to restoring ancestral moon knowledge and practices. She shares teachings on lunar cycles, natal birth charts, and cultural wisdom that connect participants to timing, intuition, and alignment with the natural world. At Pewa Retreats, Hiʻilani guides moon and birth chart sessions that weave personal insight with ancestral ʻike.

Kumu Maka Pico

Rooted in the ancestral healing traditions of Hawaiʻi and the Philippines, Maka Pico is a practitioner of Lomilomi, La'au Lapa'au and Hilot Binabaylan. She weaves ancestral wisdom with present-day care to help others release stress, restore balance, and reconnect with their roots. Formerly with Sensei Lānaʻi, Maka also carries experience as a Lomi Aʻe practitioner, bringing depth and lineage into her healing work.

Daniel Anthony

Daniel Anthony, founder of Mana ʻAi, is a cultural practitioner dedicated to revitalizing traditional Hawaiian foodways. At Pewa Retreats, he provides ʻAi Kapu—farm-to-table nourishment prepared with cultural intention—while teaching the history, practice, and healing power of food as medicine.

Students who attend the Pewa Retreat gain a deep reconnection to the ʻāina, their ancestry, and their own inner guidance through immersive cultural, spiritual, and emotional experiences.
